A Calling
Skyline has now been established for two years; however, the development and vision for this church began long before that. Three years of prayer and preparation went into the launch and development of Skyline before the first gathering ever took place.

A Small Group
A small group of individuals began to gather in the early part of 2009, with hopes that God would establish this new church in Long Island City. As this group began to grow, a church was quickly starting to form. In the summer of 2009 a decision was made that the church would open its doors officially in October of 2009 to the community.

Opening Day
In October 2009, Skyline City Church officially launched with about 35 individuals at the Jackson Ave. Steakhouse. Through humble beginnings, Skyline began to grow numerically. Community events at Christmas and Easter rounded out a historic first year for the church. These events would later go on to become staple community events in Long Island City.

Manducatis and beyond
In February 2011, Manducatis Rustica became the new home for our church. More space was provided through the new venue to help accommodate the growing community. Skyline is now home to over 150 people and meets at 915am and 11am in Manducatis. We continue to see people from various spiritual backgrounds (religious and non-religious) walk through our doors. It is our desire to give every person the opportunity to know and experience God’s love for themselves through the teachings of the Bible and the relevancy it has on our lives today.

We continue to thank God and give Him credit for all miracles and changed lives in this process.
